2019 Semi-Finalists!

National Semi Final Sunday September 15th 9:30am at Leamington
The draw saw them up against the previous winners, Kings from Devon who fielded a team containing many top internationals and Commonwealth Gold medalists.

Whilst this was totally new ground for the GX ladies, they were not overawed and pushed their opponents very hard and although not quite getting over the line, it was an amazing performance.

The Devon Club went on to win and therefore the ladies can rightfully claim that their only defeat in the Top Club this year was against the eventual winners.

National Quarter Final Saturday September 14th 9:30am at Leamington
Saturday morning saw the GX ladies defeat a strong side from Gloucester with an unbelievable team performance across all rinks that saw progress to the semi-finals the following day.

The ladies showed the men the way with a fantastic win at Bletchley Town and have now qualified for the regional final.

With Julie leading the team from the front and beating England International Donna Brookes in the singles and with the trips of Gill, Mary and Hannah adding the second point just pipping Katie and Charleen in the pairs who added the third point a few minutes later meant that the fours of Anne, Courtney, Maureen and Terri’s game was conceded by Bletchley.

Despite the windy and cool weather the Gerrards Cross side adapted well to the conditions and won all four rinks thus winning the tie 4-0 and progressing to the next round. This match demonstrated the strength of the Gerrards Cross ladies and reflects well for the future
