Rules

A convener shall be appointed to organise the competition schedule , organise the teams and playing sessions.
                                                              ******
The competition shall be a round robin pairs match for club  members .
It is the intention of the committee to utilise the green during  week days when the green is not normally busy, and it is intended that the League will be played predominately on TUESDAY mornings and afternoons. Where scheduled matches cannot be played at these times matches may be arranged to be played on Wednesday or Thursdays, rink space permitting.
NO matches will be played in the evenings.

Each game shall be of 18 ends with trial ends at the beginning optional.
Four bowls per player for each end.

The competition shall be played predominately on Tuesdays  from May until the “cut off date” which will defined as the date  14 days before the club finals weekend. . Set Tuesday will be nominated by the convenor for each team competition.  Any Tuesday missed shall be a catchup day to be rearranged at a convenient time..

The ‘lead team’ on the schedule shall be responsible for organising the matches.

Each player will be club handicapped. The aggregate difference between each pairs team being awarded to the lower scoring team and such difference added to the score board at the commencement of  each game.

Winners of each game will be awarded two points for each win, a draw one point each team and losers no points.

The four highest scoring teams, at the end of the round robin, will make up the semi finalists with the highest teams one and four and teams two and three playing each other in a knock out to produce  finals teams.

Skips may only visit the head, at their bowls turn, after the third bowl has been played. That is, before the 4th and last bowl in each end.

In the event that a team cannot play a match on an appointed Tuesday  or rearranged   Wednesday or Thursday-  ( illness, injury, holiday, etc), the convenor may give dispensation for alternative times.

The semi finals shall be played on any agreed day between the cut off date and the club finals weekend.

Any team that had not completed their  scheduled matches by the “ cut off date” shall have one point deducted from their aggregate score for each match not played.

No ‘ceding’ of games will be permitted.

During the season an aggregate total score for each team, for each match,  the number of points of for and against in each match shall be maintained and the highest aggregate difference of scores shall be used in the event of the  semi finals  of a dead heat in points.
The finals will be played on the club weekend finals.
