At Royal Leamington for the National finals

The quarter final was against Holt in Wiltshire, and we won it comfortably - Holt threw in the towel after 13 ends: the score sheet shows 42 - 14.

The semi-final against Weybridge turned out to be the toughest game in the competition. Alan Price's four were 20 points down at one stage, but fought back to finish 6 down. John's four led by 14 most of the way, and in the end we won by 10 points: 46 - 36.Rink scores (Gerrards Cross skips first): J McGuinness bt C Souter 24-8; A Price lost to M White 22-28;

The final was against Buntingford in Hertfordshire, and neither rink ever looked as if it might lose. Final score 44-20. Rink scores (Gerrards Cross skips first): J McGuinness bt M Plume 23-12; A Price bt G Warrender 21-8

Overall a very convincing win in a National competition.
